Cronto's Visual Transaction Signing Excels in Usability Study [DE] [FR]
Commerzbank's online banking customers choose CrontoSign solution
CAMBRIDGE, England - 10th August, 2011 - Customers prefer to secure their online banking with CrontoSign(tm) in a recent Usability Study commissioned by Commerzbank AG, the second largest bank in Germany, and undertaken by an independent Customer Experience Management company: SirValUse Consulting GmbH. A representative group of Commerzbank online banking customers took part in the study, marking the user experience of the CrontoSign mobile application and standalone hardware device, chipTAN smartcard readers: traditional (manual entry) and modern (flicker) versions, and mTAN (SMS TAN) for ease of use, performance, aesthetics and innovation. The security solutions were tested in various online banking use-cases, including domestic and international transfers.
CrontoSign produced overwhelmingly positive feedback; it was commended for speed and simplicity, as well as its innovation and originality. It was also consistently voted as the preferred solution, even when offered with a cost to the end customer. By comparison, some solutions experienced a dramatic decrease in popularity when a charge was introduced.
The CrontoSign user experience came out top in all criteria, across a spectrum of user demographics - thus proving that the Cronto solution is simple to use for all customer segments, and overcoming the challenges of enhancing security without compromising usability.
